Relaxing and playing at the beach is certainly a sure way to have a good time here in Fort Walton Beach, but wouldn’t it be exciting to get out on the water and go explore some new areas of the coast?
Cattywampus Eco Adventures had that in mind when they started taking guests out on their eco adventures in 2007.
Since then, they’ve offered some of the most beloved catamaran trips on the Gulf Coast. What’s a catamaran, you say? It’s a dual-hulled boat, which means the middle section doesn’t make contact with the water. This design allows for two netted areas in the forward part of the boat where you can watch the emerald green water rush beneath you.
Cattywampus offers four different cruises to its guests:
- Dolphin and Seashell Safari Cruise
- Fireworks Cruise
- Private Charters
- Sunset Cruise
The Dolphin and Seashell Safari Cruise is the most popular cruise. This cruise takes guests to crystal clear and calm waters to look for seashells and other marine life. Don’t have a mask and snorkel? Don’t sweat it! Cattywampus will provide those for you. And since the water is usually only waist high for most guests, being able to swim is not a prerequisite. However, make sure to let the Cattywampus crew know beforehand, so they may lend assistance.
Don’t worry about fooling with one of those flimsy little ladders you have to go down backward. Cattywampus has a super wide stair ladder that is lowered directly into the water and makes for easy entry and exit. Water cannon fights are not only expected during this cruise, but highly encouraged.
Managing your vitamin D intake? There is plenty of shaded area on board for those members in your group who prefer to stay cool and out of the sun.
And since this is a dolphin cruise after all, there is an extremely high chance of seeing wild dolphins playing and jumping in their natural habitat. The Cattywampus crew knows all of the hot spots! However, since they are wild creatures and not bound by anything other than the laws of nature, there are no guarantees.
On select nights between Memorial Day and Labor Day, Cattywampus offers an exciting Fireworks Cruise. The fireworks are launched from the Okaloosa Island Pier, and the cruise provides the perfect angle to enjoy the dazzling display. With music and lights onboard during this nighttime cruise, don’t be afraid to cut a rug!
If you prefer something more laid-back and mellow, Cattywampus has you covered with their sublime sunset cruises. Kick back, relax … and share an unforgettable sunset view with family or that special someone.
Whether you’re looking for play or relaxation, Cattywampus Eco Adventures has a cruise for you.
