Great location. Plenty of parking (you do have to pay for it). Super close beach access. Seperat company controls the beach chairs, unless you bring your own. Poolside bar, not open extremely late. Family friendly, not a party hotel! Quiet at night. There is some construction at the entrance and no light, can be difficult to get out especially on the weekends. Rooms are clean modern, spacious balcony. Restaurant on premises has a good selection and reasonable priced. Breakfast is not included. Coffee is free and actual good tasting. The bartender Ryan is amazing.  It’s my birthday today and I met a friend at the bar Teresa it’s also her birthday! Ryan made it so much fun. The hotel and staff are so amazing. Did an overnighter to test the waters and was not disappointed. I like that we can “share’ the amenities of the Holiday Inn next door as well. The staff was great, welcomed inconvenience was that they did not authorize our early check in, but that was a user error on my part because I used my ID when using my wife’s credit card. Kudos to the team for protecting against unauthorized use! The night was capped with good drinks and food in the bar. And the bartender made a great Old Fashioned.

Hi, what can I say. Florida always feels like home to us. The people are so kind, the sunny weather is beautiful, the ocean is amazing, and there are so many great restaurants with fresh food. I can definitely see myself retiring here one day!

We come to Florida every year from rainy Seattle, Washington, and this was our first time in Destin and our first stay at this hotel. Overall, the customer service was great, and everyone was very friendly. We were lucky to get a room with a balcony and an ocean view, which made our stay even better.

After all the good things, I did notice a few things that could be improved. One was a minor inconvenience, but the other was a serious safety concern. The AC unit was working extremely hard and blowing very cold air directly into the room, making it uncomfortably cold. We eventually figured out a simple solution by placing a chair in front of it to block the direct airflow.

The bigger concern was the front door. Our room door did not close tightly, and we had to double-check every time to make sure it was properly shut. I noticed several other rooms with what appeared to be the same issue. I had my kids staying in the room next to us, and thankfully I noticed the problem because they weren’t even aware of it. I really hope management looks into this, because it could become a serious safety issue.

Overall, we really enjoyed our time in Destin. Thank you, Florida, for always making visitors from different states feel welcome! ❤️ We definitely plan to come back soon!
