The people are so kind, the sunny weather is beautiful, the ocean is amazing, and there are so many great restaurants with fresh food. I can definitely see myself retiring here one day! We come to Florida every year from rainy Seattle, Washington, and this was our first time in Destin and our first stay at this hotel. Overall, the customer service was great, and everyone was very friendly. We were lucky to get a room with a balcony and an ocean view, which made our stay even better. After all the good things, I did notice a few things that could be improved. One was a minor inconvenience, but the other was a serious safety concern. The AC unit was working extremely hard and blowing very cold air directly into the room, making it uncomfortably cold. We eventually figured out a simple solution by placing a chair in front of it to block the direct airflow. The bigger concern was the front door. Our room door did not close tightly, and we had to double-check every time to make sure it was properly shut. I noticed several other rooms with what appeared to be the same issue. I had my kids staying in the room next to us, and thankfully I noticed the problem because they weren’t even aware of it. I really hope management looks into this, because it could become a serious safety issue. Overall, we really enjoyed our time in Destin. Thank you, Florida, for always making visitors from different states feel welcome! ❤️ We definitely plan to come back soon!

View of the ocean is great, pool is fun and relaxing.  Even when the pool is 'crowded' it still feels like you have plenty of space to yourself.  The tiki bar is awesome.  Visited enough times over the years that Summer and Jimmy remembered us and our order.  Food from the Tiki Bar is surprisingly good.  Beach is wonderful as always.  Each visit we get ocean front.  Rooms are nice, enough space, clean, well decorated.    The staff is always nice.  Of all the times we've stayed we've never encountered a rude staff member or guest.
